The school IT office, located in B09 near SABER centre, is open before school from 8am and during most lunch breaks. Students are able to visit during these times to troubleshoot any issues relating to Wi-Fi and software required for school.
School Software
Redcliffe State High School uses a variety of software to support learning in the classroom, and develop modern IT skills in students for their futures.
Core to teaching is the Microsoft 365 Suite, including Teams, Office and OneDrive. These programs are provided free-of-charge to active students by Education Queensland.
Teams is used as a collaboration tool, and is integrated with OneDrive, Office, and emails. Download “New Teams" from https://teams.com. Teams (personal) and OneDrive (personal) are blocked onsite.
Students can log into https://office.com with their school email to download Office to their BYOd Laptop. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.
The Adobe Creative Cloud applications are recommended for all students, funded through SRS fees. Students will receive an email with instructions to set up their account. If their account has already been set up, the student can enter their school email at https://creativecloud.adobe.com, and select “Reset your password". Make sure to select Company or School Account if asked to choose.
The BYOx Mapper is a tool for students to access shared folders and printers at school and change their password. This software is installed via the Company Portal application, which is set up as part of onboarding your student's device.
