Our vision of 'Soaring Above and Beyond Expectations' is more than a 'catch phrase', it is an expectation for students, staff and parents. We have very clear guidelines about the standard and types of behaviour that we will see when parents, students and staff are soaring above and beyond expectations. A quick glance will see us empowered to achieve excellent outcomes, meaningfully engaged in education, involved in extra curricula activities and being positively recognised by our community.
The Education Queensland 'Code of School Behaviour' is supported within our school. It basically states that essential to all learning is a safe, supportive and disciplined environment that respects the following rights:
the rights of all students to learn
the rights of teachers to teach
and the right of all to be safe.
At Redcliffe State High School we go beyond this in believing that learning engagement requires an environment that engages all learners in purposeful learning experiences, encourages constructive interactions among the community, staff and students and enables learners to control their learning effectively. To achieve this it is essential that there is a strong partnership between school and home.
We expect our community, parents, students and staff to work together, to have positive and productive relationships, to follow processes that lead to fair outcomes and to ensure that we have a safe and supported learning environment.
