Interschool Sport
Interschool sport provides students with the opportunity to participate in a structured sport competition which is played between schools. Redcliffe is the Grand Champion School 2023 and 2024 for the SCSD Interschool Sport Competition.
School sport runs on a Wednesday afternoon for Senior students (Years 10-12) and Thursday afternoon for Juniors (Years 7 - 9). The top 4 Teams in each competition meet in a finals Gala Day.

SEQ Metropolitan Finals
Redcliffe SHS also enters selected teams in the SEQ Metro Finals. This is dependant on performance in the Interschool Sport season. There are typically 2 rounds of playoffs before the top 4 teams across South East Qld meet for a finals Gala Day. Redcliffe SHS had 2 SEQ Metro Finals Champion Teams in 2024 and 2 teams in the Top 4.
Interhouse Sports Carnivals
Redcliffe SHS offers the 3 Interhouse Carnivals in pursuit of the Jim Marks Cup. The House with the most points across the 3 carnivals is presented with the Jim Marks Cup at the annual Sports Awards Evening.

Representative Sport
Queensland School Sports External link and Sunshine Coast School Sport External link provides a wide range of information on the opportunities for involvement in the representative school sport programs. It also provides contact information for groups and organisations involved in school sport. Redcliffe SHS actively sends students to Representative Trials and in 2024 we had 117 South District representatives, 72 Regional Representatives and 15 Queensland Representatives across 15 different sports. This made us the top State School in the Sunshine Coast and 4th overall.
Extra-Curricular Sports
Redcliffe SHS regularly competes in external school competitions in a variety of sports. Redcliffe participates in Rugby 7's, OzTag, Futsal, Volleyball, Touch Football and Netball competitions.
