Anzac Day, is one of Australia's most important national occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War, and is a time at which Australians reflect on the many different meanings of war. It is a day to reflect on war's cost and the service and sacrifice of those who have worn our country's uniforms since the first members of the Australian Imperial Force sailed for the battlefields of Europe and the Middle East.
