Redcliffe SHS 2024 Cross Country Program
When: Friday 26th, Periods 3 and 4.
Where: Redcliffe SHS Ovals – all students meeting on Oval nearest the school.
Race Distances: 12-13 Years – 3 km
14-15 years –4 km
16-Open – 4.5 km
What to wear: Students may choose to wear sports uniform to school if competing. Students may also choose to change into house colours for Periods 3 and 4.
Other Events:
- 1 lap Dash/Walk on at same time as Cross Country Race. The 1 lap event is also for house points.
(4 points for 1st, 3 points for 2nd and 3rd, 2 Points for top 10 and 1 point after 10th)
- Interhouse Tunnel Ball – Competition for House Points
- Interhouse Tug O'War – Competition for House Points
- Social Volleyball Games
- Face Painting
General Information:
- Shoes must be worn for all events.
- The 'Phone Away For the Day' Policy will be enforced during the carnival.
- Lunch: Students may eat lunch from 10:40. They are permitted to eat on the oval.
- Bag Security: Students are responsible for the security of their school bag, however they may put their bags in a supervised area (13 on map) while they are at marshalling and racing.
District Cross Country
When: Friday 3rd May
Where: Mueller College
Who: Top 6 Boys and Girls in each Age Group qualify for Districts.
Transport: School bus for first 21 students (first in, first served) or private transport.
