Education Queensland is committed to provisions that ensure all young Queenslanders have a right to and receive a quality education.

Essential to effective learning is a safe, supportive and disciplined environment that reflects the following rights:

  •  the rights of all students to learn
  •  the rights of teachers to teach
  •  the rights of all to be safe

Redcliffe State High School’s approach to effective management and disciplinary procedures is:

  • initiate management procedures which are consistent, non-confrontational and result in an atmosphere of supported instruction
  • develop a student’s a sense of belonging, respect, pride, self-worth and self-discipline
  • recognise strengths while motivating and encouraging individuals to achieve to their potential
  •  foster unity built upon mutual support, encouragement and co-operation

At Redcliffe State High School the Student Code of Conduct is developed and implemented because we believe in and value the following:

  • quality teaching
  • supportive and safe classroom environments
  • equality of opportunity
  • recognition of effort and achievement

Redcliffe State High School developed the Student Code of Conduct in collaboration with our school community. Consultation with parents, staff and students was undertaken through email distribution lists and community meetings held during 2020. Ongoing reviews of school data through OneSchool and other sources relating to attendance, absenteeism, school disciplinary absences and behaviour incidents also informed the development process.

The Plan was endorsed by the Principal, the President of the Parents and Citizens' (P&C) Association and Regional Director and will be reviewed, as is required.
